When engaging SeedHaus™ for your residential or commercial project, rest assured that we authentically put sustainability and the environment at the center of everything we do. This applies to our energy assessment services including our Energy Efficiency Reports. Our experienced consultants conduct a home energy assessment and assign your property with a star rating depending on the energy use of your home. This includes assessing how much energy your home uses to cool down or heat up so that it’s comfortable year-round.
Prepared specifically for your residential property, the Residential Efficiency Scorecard is a nationally recognised evaluation of your home’s energy efficiency performance. Whether you are a home owner looking to reduce running costs or increase the future sale price of your home, the Residential Efficiency Scorecard is an important tool in identifying areas of energy use and the hot and cold weather performance of a home. Each Residential Efficiency Scorecard prepared by SeedHaus™ reflects the national scorecard, custom-made to the property and provides valuable insights into improving energy performance.
The SeedHaus™ team are experienced in conducting Section J Assessments for commercial developments, with our energy assessors able to provide comprehensive insights into your project and how to best meet the Section J criteria. We understand the need to make this process as straight forward as possible, which is why our Section J Reports often involve consultation with the client or building designer to ensure your project goals and budgets are considered.
You will need to obtain a BASIX Certificate if you are building in New South Wales, which rates the expected performance of any residential development in terms of water efficiency, thermal comfort, and energy usage. Not only is it required for any new build or extension but obtaining a BASIX Certificate and meeting these targets can reduce your long-term running costs significantly. The SeedHaus™ team prepare BASIX reports for a wide range of clients with differing project needs.
The Built Environment Substantiality Scorecard, often shortened to BESS, is an online framework used to create Sustainable Design Assessments (SDA) or Sustainability Management Plans for Victorian projects. This framework has been designed to help builders, developers and homeowners to assess their plans against sustainability requirements. As the tool is designed to be utilized at the planning stage, BESS can be effective in terms of early detection of issues and areas where the project needs to be made more efficient. Because at this point the project build has not been commenced, it makes it easier and less costly to change elements to meet the requirements.
Our Sustainable Design Assessment service is a streamlined sustainability assessment, that assesses the sustainability of a proposed building. Demonstrating best practice in Environmentally Sustainable Design, this service is utilized at the project planning stage of planned medium developments.
